O sentido da saúde mental na rede: novas perspectivas decorrentes de uma situação de catástrofe

Abstract

This work intends a view to the construction of new perspectives in mental health act in a direction to provide intersectoral actions that aim the integration between the mental health network and other services. In this perspective, the matrix support device came to be fundamental to a better attention in mental health in primary attention service. Relating to catastrophe, as in the Santa Maria/RS, where a fire killed 242 young people, it becomes essential to the construction of a mental health work based on these devices recommended by the PNH. This article aimed to identify if the actions developed in mental health, in the context of the tragedy which took place in Santa Maria, meant the construction of new perspectives in mental health. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with professionals from different sectors of the network that provided attendance in an extreme event and which participated in the matrix support developed through the creation of a working group. Data were analyzed based on Content Analysis, resulting in the construction of three categories. Stands out that the professionals have recognized the importance of mental health in the context of catastrophe. However the contact from the part of the specialized teams in mental health in front of the matrix support device became more intense on the period of crisis going on reduction of these practices, which represents the non-existence of a full and resolutive network.
