Análise termodinâmica do uso adicional do palhiço da cana-de-açúcar à queima do bagaço no sistema de cogeração de uma usina sucroenergética
Abstract
Em uma realidade de potencial crise energética no país e busca de alternativas sustentáveis na geração de energia, a bioeletricidade surge como uma importante solução para este mercado e tem como destaque o setor sucroenergético. O palhiço da cana-de-açúcar aparece como um potencial energético adicional de biomassa combustível além do uso tradicional do bagaço nas centrais de cogeração de energia, em virtude das atuais políticas ambientais aplicadas ao setor sucroenergético, as quais propõem a proibição da prática da queima dos canaviais e resultam em toneladas dessa biomassa deixadas no campo durante a colheita. Neste contexto, este trabalho propõe um estudo investigativo de caráter termodinâmico visando o aproveitamento do palhiço da cana-de-açúcar na geração de excedentes de energia elétrica em uma usina sucroenergética instalada e em operação no município de Dourados, MS, com base nos dados de produtividade da safra 2016/2017. Nas análises foram mantidas as propriedades termodinâmicas para cada volume de controle delimitado, bem como a demanda térmica do processo industrial e o consumo interno de potência elétrica da usina. Os resultados apontam um incremento de 130% na geração de excedentes de energia elétrica com a inserção da queima do palhiço ao bagaço no ciclo de geração a vapor quando comparado com a planta atual. Todavia, houve uma redução considerável na eficiência global do ciclo pela Primeira Lei da Termodinâmica em função da grande vazão de condensado na turbina de extração-condensação. As maiores irreversibilidades nas configurações do sistema de cogeração são evidenciadas nas caldeiras, pelo qual as perdas acontecem desde a liberação de calor pelo combustível no processo de combustão. Avaliando a eficiência global do ciclo pela Segunda Lei, a configuração proposta apresentou um melhor aproveitamento do máximo potencial de exergia disponível dos combustíveis.
