Gêneros e Leituras
Abstract
A disciplina de Gêneros e Leitura apresenta conteúdos sistematizados a partir dos estudos com gêneros discursivos e de estudos sobre argumentação e linguagem. Disciplina importante na formação de um leitor proficiente e crítico, ao final dela, o aluno deverá ser capaz de demonstrar domínio sobre práticas de leitura de diferentes gêneros, revelando criticidade diante da relação entre linguagem e leitura do mundo e entre mecanismos da língua e a construção dos sentidos do texto. A leitura hoje desempenha um papel importante na formação pessoal e profissional. A nossa volta, temos uma infinidade de meios (livros, jornais, televisão, Internet, etc.) que nos disponibilizam as informações. Porém, se o acesso à informação está facilitado, a formação de bons leitores não está garantida. Essa formação é um processo complexo no qual intervêm conhecimentos e habilidades cognitivas, linguísticas (conhecimento da língua) e discursivas (linguagem como prática social). Esta disciplina, integrando o percurso de formação de leitor no qual o aluno, como estudante de Letras, está inserido, é uma ferramenta a ser dominada para aumentar sua qualidade de leitura. A carga horária de 60 horas está distribuída em três unidades, desenvolvidas com a seguinte dinâmica: Unidade A: estudo dos conceitos fundamentais para a abordagem de gêneros discursivos e para a compreensão da textualidade e da dimensão social da linguagem inserida em práticas mediatizadas por gêneros discursivos; Unidade B: ênfase na argumentação como atividade constitutiva da línguagem e construída por ela, estudando-se a contribuição das modalidades verbais e não-verbais na argumentatividade, principalmente em gêneros com o humor crítico, além de um trabalho de (re) conhecimento dos modos e estruturas básicas de organização textual aplicado a gêneros de base dissertativo-argumentativa; Unidade C: destaque para as marcas lingüísticas da argumentação, enfatizando-se os operadores argumentativos, os modalizadores e os índices avaliativos dentro da perspectiva de que a argumentação é construída pelo uso consciente dos recursos linguísticos.
