Anestesia e analgesia em cinco procedimentos de facoemulsificação
Abstract
As anestesias em cirurgias oftálmicas necessitam além de um protocolo anestésico adequado para o transoperatório, uma conduta que garanta um apropriado pós-operatório para o paciente de acordo com o procedimento a ser realizado. A cirurgia de facoemulsificação, também conhecida como catarata, exige adequação da seleção de fármacos conforme as necessidades que o procedimento em si necessita e as particularidades fisiológicas a serem observadas. A catarata é uma opacidade não fisiológica do cristalino que tem diversas possibilidades de etiologias como senilidade, traumas, defeitos hereditários, infecções e causas metabólicas. O tratamento de eleição é cirúrgico pela facoemulsificação para remoção da catarata. O presente trabalho consiste no relato de cinco procedimentos anestésicos para cirurgias de facoemulsificação em quatro caninos realizados no Hospital Veterinário Universitário da UFSM.
