Decisão coletivas como processos compartilhados de democratização da gestão escolar

Abstract

This monograph presents discussions and reflections on the collective decisions and participatory school management, assuming it must constitute transformation processes in pursuit of autonomy and citizenship, aimed at democratization of basic school. Discusses the principles and mechanisms by which democratic management is based, as well as the processes of decisions and actions at school. From this perspective, objective, generally, highlight and reflect on the importance of collective decisions in school management as shared processes aimed at democratization of basic school. We conducted a bibliographic study, in which, with the aid of authors in the area of educational administration, discussed the democratic management in its implications for school organization, participation and collective involvement in school management and also the importance and impact of mechanisms for community participation in the democratization of school. With this study it was possible to extend the debates between what is possible and feasible in terms of democratic participative management and the roles and responsibilities of the school community, especially the managers and members of collective bodies as agents of social mobilization and transformers centralized and bureaucratic practices in school. We conclude that with political and pedagogical practices dialogic, participatory, shared and committed school can become really democratic.
