Os efeitos da orientação para a aprendizagem e da orientação para o mercado no desempenho organizacional
Abstract
As diversas orientações estratégicas têm chamado a atenção tanto de pesquisadores como de
empresários do mundo todo nos mais diversos segmentos de atuação empresarial. O foco na
competitividade e a busca por vantagens competitivas exigem a adoção de orientações e
posturas estratégicas que melhor alinhem as empresas às exigências dos mercados. Duas
orientações que tem chamado a atenção do meio acadêmico são a Orientação para o Mercado
e a Orientação para a Aprendizagem. Este estudo tem como objetivo identificar de que forma
a Orientação para a Aprendizagem e a Orientação para o Mercado se relacionam entre si e
influenciam o desempenho das empresas da região central do Rio Grande do Sul. Foi
desenvolvida uma pesquisa de levantamento com 123 empresa e o instrumento de coleta de
dados foi elaborado utilizando a escala de Orientação para Aprendizagem, a escala MARKOR
e itens de avaliação do desempenho organizacional. Foram realizadas análises de regressão
linear múltipla, análise fatorial e modelagem de equação estrutural para o modelo teórico de
estudo. Quando observada apenas as relações das dimensões da Orientação para o Mercado e
o Desempenho Organizacional percebeu-se que apenas a Responsividade tem influência
significativa. Já quando se observou apenas as relações das dimensões da Orientação para a
Aprendizagem e o desempenho verificou-se que apenas a “Mente Aberta” apresentou
influência significativa no desempenho. Os resultados sugerem que a orientação para mercado
exerce uma influencia positiva e significativa no desempenho organizacional das empresas
pesquisadas. Já a orientação para aprendizagem não apresentou impacto significativo no
desempenho empresarial. As duas orientações apresentaram uma elevada correlação entre si.
