O neo-populismo na America Latina: o caso da Venezuela
Abstract
Esta monografia tem como objetivo discutir a atualidade política da América
Latina, tendo como base de estudo o Governo de Hugo Chávez da Venezuela, este
por sua influencia, em outros paises, e sua forma de governar. O estudo é dividido
em três partes: a primeira, estuda a historia política Venezuelana, principalmente o
cenário político pré-chavez; o segundo analiza a política implantada desde a
ascenção de Chávez ao poder; e o terceiro traz uma descrição sobre ideologia,
definindo o Populismo, o Neopopulismo, sua expansão pela América Latina, e a
denominação de “Socialismo do Século XII”.
A discusão gira em torno, de como classificar os atos do governo Chávez, se
é socialista moderno, como ele próprio diz, se é Facista como afirmam alguns de
seus adversários, ou se é populista. O estudo inicia desde a sua vitória
democrática, descorrendo sobre suas infindáveis vitórias, contra seus opositores,
contando sempre com o apoio popular, até sua derrota no ultimo Referendum, em
novembro de 2007.
