A educação ambiental na rede municipal de ensino de Panambi: uma análise das concepções pedagógicas, das práticas e do currículo

Abstract

This work has as general goal to check the inclusion of the Environmental Education in the Municipal School Network of Panambi from 2005 to 2009 and the everyday effects of the people involved in the process. Through this general goal we seek to attain the following specific goals: to identify the educational concepts, the syllabus and the pedagogical practices for the different areas of knowledge that guided the Secretaria Municipal de Ensino of Panambi from 2005 to 2009, considering the 6th to 9th grades of Elementary Schools; to investigate how the Environmental Education is present in this context; to check the effects of this work on the Environmental Educa-tion of the people involved in the routine of this process, as well as the challenges to be overcome. The subjects that conducted this research were members of the Peda-gogical Department of SMEC (Secretaria Municipal de Educação e Cultura) of Pa-nambi, and a teacher from each area of knowledge taught by the net of public schools. First we tried to analyze the Study Plans for the different areas of knowl-edge, and after that we established a relation between the concepts, the syllabus and the practices investigated with the Environmental Education theme, establishing a parallel between what had been found by the Study Plans and the interviews done with the teachers from different the areas. After this analysis, a series of debates arise about Environmental Education as a whole, its current situation in the Municipal School network of Panambi, trying to relate it with what several authors already have said about this theme, contributing to the Environmental Education advances, ac-complishments and challenges in our schools. The results obtained led to the con-clusion that the Municipal School Network of Panambi is working with this thematic, considering it of fundamental importance, since it is related to our own existence. There are challenges to be overcome, as the topic of interrelation of subjects and the actions that result in the change of behavior and attitude of the students to environ-ment relationship.
