Uso de tecnologias de informação e comunicação no ensino superior a distância no curso de Licenciatura em Geografia da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria
Abstract
O trabalho apresenta um estudo acerca do uso das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) pelos professores do Curso Superior de Licenciatura em Geografia da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), na modalidade à distância/UAB (Universidade Aberta do Brasil). A abordagem qualitativa embasou a pesquisa e os instrumentos utilizados foram a pesquisa documental e o questionário aplicado aos professores do curso. Os resultados demonstram que 57,1% dos docentes possui formação específica para o uso de TIC e todos fazem uso do computador para atividades de ensino e aprendizagem, porém as ferramentas mais utilizadas são o editor de texto e o de apresentação de slides, o que evidencia a subutilização das TIC. Em relação às redes sociais, metade dos professores faz uso dessas, sendo o Facebook e o Whatsapp as mais empregadas, e quanto a percepção dos professores acerca da interatividade, 71,4% consideram que é maior em atividades mediadas por TIC. É possível afirmar que as TIC fazem parte do cotidiano pedagógico no curso de Geografia UAB/UFSM, contudo não são exploradas todas as suas potencialidades e nem a diversidade existente de tecnologias educacionais.
