Modelos de regressão para incidência de HIV/AIDS na população dos estados da região Norte do Brasil
Abstract
A AIDS é uma doença de notificação compulsória que não possui cura, mas, a medicina moderna consegue prolongar a vida do paciente com medicamentos que minimizam o efeito da enfermidade no tempo, dando mais qualidade de vida para a pessoa portadora do vírus. No Brasil, os casos de AIDS se estabilizaram em torno de 40 mil por ano. O tratamento no Sistema Único de Saúde e as campanhas de prevenção permitiram ao país estabilizar a doença, mas, nos estados mais carentes de estrutura em saúde pública, as taxas de crescimento continuam elevadas, como é o caso da região Norte do Brasil. Neste sentido, esse estudo teve por objetivo aplicar modelos de regressão para modelagem de casos de AIDS na população dos Estados da Região Norte do Brasil. A Metodologia utilizada consistiu em utilizar modelos lineares e não lineares com uso dos programas CurveExpert e Statistica 9.0, os modelos foram submetidos a análise residual que verificou normalidade, independência e homocedasticidade, além de análises de outliers. A avaliação da capacidade de previsão foi feita via critérios BIC e AIC. Os dados foram obtidos no portal do DATASUS, foram coletados todos os dados de AIDS no período de 1984 a 2014. Entre os principais resultados destaca-se que, para a região Norte, o modelo que melhor se ajustou aos dados foi o modelo não linear logístico que projeta uma estabilidade futura de casos de AIDS para o Norte estimado em 4700 casos novos anuais.
