dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to verify the different presuppositions and criteria of Evaluation at
Children’s Education at the involved school, considering the phase of development;
how it is organized in the processes of Education Management and in the Political
Educational Project; and to point out the teachers’ practical theoretical conception
concerning Evaluation at Children’s Education. The study was based on authors as
Hoffmann (1996, 1998, 1999, 2003), Lima (1999), Lück (2006) among others. The
investigation was developed through a qualitative approach, of the type case – study
with the carrying out of questionnaires to teachers and parents, the observation in
classroom and the analysis of the Political Educational Project. It was possible to
notice that the school works with the Evaluation at Children’s Education in a way that
it is satisfactory to the children’s full development, considering the current phase of
learning they are. Therefore, the school inserts itself in the Political Educational
Project. It was noticed that the school develops principles of a democratic
management, integrating teachers, employees, students, parents and the community
in general. In this sense, the Evaluation was presented as parents and teachers’
worry, observing the student in all levels of his or her learning and it works in a way
that it investigates the difficulties and advances of each one. As a result of this, it was
possible to notice that the Evaluation is part of a process that requires the
participation of all the involved in the education context.
