As TIC e os desafios no ensino de geografia na educação básica

Abstract

The objective of the research was to understand the challenges that the Technologies of the Information and Comunication (TIC) consider to the education of Geography, being identified as the technologies affect the education and in this they open possibilities to improve the education of this disciplines. The methodology followed the parameters defined for the bibliographical research, of nature description-explorer, aiming at to clarify aspects of the relation technology with the geography education, that generally is presented as obvious. They are outstanding as resulted that the geography education coexists three challenges that exceed the necessity of rooms of computers and connection with the Internet. One reveals as a set of specific actions inside of disciplines, to be assumed for the permitted one in geography. It is treated to initiate, how much before, the construction, together with the pupil, of the geographic knowledge concerning the implications that the global world brings for the local space, in the implicit perspective of the formation of critical citizens. Of ownership of the technological apparatus, it has the challenge to incorporate the Technologies of the Information and Comunication (TIC) to the daily one of the lessons, in order that if they explore the technologies in what they can bring of unknown contributions for the geography education - new knowledge on the geographic space, many of them reporting the pupils the distant landscapes, the diverse scales, taking to dive them it in a sea of now accessible information. Finally most difficult of the challenges that the current technicianscientific period brings for the geography education mentions the construction to it of geographic knowledge on the global world, by means of the TIC. As it is perceived, each challenge identified in the research excites others, that could be studied and be analyzed being overcome this research as starting point or valuable subsidy.
