Gestão democrática: olhares dos gestores de duas instituições de educação infantil do município de Santa Maria

Abstract

This final work of graduate reflects on the concept and importance of the role of school management in the context of early childhood education in the municipality of Santa Maria-RS, revealing thus the profile of the managers of early childhood education institutions in this municipality. From this theme has as main objective to investigate the democratic management in two early childhood institutions in the municipality of Santa Maria-RS from the perspective of managers. In this sense, the specific objectives are: looking for ways to understand the role of the management of early childhood education, recognizing the actions of managers EMEI'S; investigate the engagement and training of managers in EMEIs. To support the discussions around this question, we performed a literature search, based mainly on the following authors: Adams (2005), Kulhmann (2003), Lück (2008.2010), Nóvoa (1991), Padilla (2001). This study is shown in the following chapters of the theoretical, and entitled: "School Management and Training Managers', 'Teacher Professional Managers of Schools Early Childhood Education of St. Mary'. From the literature research, carried out a field survey in the chapter 'Methodology and Data Analysis', through semi-structured interview conducted with the managers and teachers of early childhood education institutions maintained by the Government of the municipality of Santa Maria-RS. The aim of the research was to reveal the profile of managers working in early childhood education institutions, as well as investigate the management of the institution was already in the democratic process, as provided for over a decade, the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education National, 1996.
