Estudo do serviço de arquivo médico e estatística do Hospital São Donato/SC: resultado da pesquisa
Abstract
O Arquivo Médico é responsável pela preservação e disponibilização da informação contida nos prontuários médicos do Hospital. A Gestão Documental é a melhor forma de facilitar o acesso à informação, pois este é um direito assegurado por lei. O Hospital São Donato (HSD) localizado no Sul de Santa Catarina, ao longo de sua existência não, dispôs de uma gestão que possibilitasse o acesso à informação por seus usuários, tornando-se um grande problema na atualidade. O grande volume de prontuários obrigou a Instituição a dividir o arquivo em diversos locais e prontuários que deveriam compor o Arquivo Corrente permanecem misturados aos prontuários do Arquivo Intermediário, não existindo um Arquivo Permanente. Outra questão importante é a existência de vários números de registro para um mesmo paciente, dificultando ainda mais o acesso à informação. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar os problemas no acesso às informações contidas no Arquivo Médico do Hospital São Donato e desenvolver estratégias que facilitem o acesso às informações contidas no seu acervo. Para identificar os problemas quanto ao acesso à informação, foram necessárias visitas ao Arquivo Médico, além de buscar, junto a fundamentação teórica, estratégias para desenvolver uma proposta de gestão documental que atenda às necessidades da Instituição de maneira funcional e prática. Tal proposta de gestão documental não trará benefícios apenas para o HSD, como também a todos os usuários do Arquivo Médico, sejam eles colaboradores, médicos, pacientes ou, ainda, a própria administração do hospital, que necessitam de diversas informações contidas nos prontuários com grande frequência.
