Autenticidade e acesso: os desafios da preservação de documentos arquivísticos digitais

Abstract

The information and communication technologies are imposing a new way to manage the files and making several questions arise about the authenticity, preservation and the access of digital documents. Thus, this study is characterized as a literature search and it examines some methodological and technical proposals for the digital documents preservation for long periods, considering the authenticity and access to them. Among the topics approached are the concept of digital document archive, the strategies used in digital preservation, such as migration, emulation and others; the InterPARES Project (International Research on Permanent Authentic Records in Electronic Systems); the OAIS reference model (Open Archival Information System) and metadata for preservation. The study emphasizes the importance of defining policies for digital documents preservation, with emphasis on maintaining the authenticity and access, as well the creation of metadata that record all actions to preserve and its effects to the digital documents could be, so reliable, the social heritage, so that important parts of the memory of individuals are lost due to technological obsolescence and media vulnerability.
