A disciplina de Psicologia da Educação do curso EaD de Licenciatura em Sociologia tem o objetivo de contextualizar a partir da Unidade 1, as principais perspectivas e correntes de pensamento em Psicologia sobre o campo da educação e do ensinar, procurando situar as respectivas contribuições teóricas acerca da aprendizagem, como também, apresentar as principais temáticas fundamentais ao longo da história em Psicologia e Educação, discutindo suas práticas e abordando criticamente a relação entre autores. Na Unidade 2, a contextualização baseia-se na unidade anterior, nesta etapa, discutiremos, de maneira mais aprofundada, alguns dos principais autores do campo da Psicologia da Educação, cuja influência nas práticas de ensino e aprendizagem é, ainda hoje, um requisito fundamental para a formação teórica do docente, como também, a base a partir da qual encaminharemos nossa reflexão, no sentido de pensar o ato educativo e suas relações com a cultura. Nosso objetivo nesse sentido será o de abordar as principais contribuições da Psicologia Construtivista, enfatizando os aportes teóricos da Psicologia Genética de jean piaget e da teoria sócio-histórica de vygotsky, discutindo criticamente a relação entre esses diferentes autores e suas construções para pensar a educação e a aprendizagem. Por fim, na Unidade 3, o objetivo desta unidade é o de estabelecer relações entre a Educação, a subjetividade e a cultura, atravessadas pelas contribuições e críticas da Psicanálise ao campo da educação, procurando construir uma reflexão que leve em consideração a dimensão dos processos inconscientes, do desejo e da transferência no ato educativo, como também de promover uma reflexão acerca do educador e sua inserção na cultura, a função da prática docente e seus efeitos de transmissão no aluno e na sociedade.
