A história da ginástica artística escolar no município de Sapiranga

Abstract

In the present work, the historical rescue of the Artistic Gymnastics in the city of Sapiranga/RS, between 2004 and 2014, was carried out, taking in consideration the Artistic Gymnastics’ trajectory until it got to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, brought by the German immigrants in 1824. The documentary research and oral history were used as instruments for the data collection. The Artistic Gymnastics Project of Sapiranga was idealized by the teacher Carla Simone Strassburguer Matzenbacher, given that this modality had been asleep in the city for 39 years. In the decades of 30, 40 and 50, the gymnastics was being practiced by German descendants in the Society of Singing and Progress, currently the 19 of July Club. The educational Artistic Gymnastics is already held since 2004 in the city, in which are taken in consideration the individual characteristics, motor skills and level of learning of each student. The project is beyond the sportive activity, its actions are in tune with the social promotion and the citizenship exercise itself.
