Ensino de Sociologia: formação dos docentes e o ensino nas escolas estaduais de Santa Maria/RS

Abstract

The objective of this research was the rising concerning the teaching of the Social sciences in Santa Maria's state schools. The study was developed at 23 schools of Santa Maria's state net that offer the discipline of Sociology in the Polytechnic Medium Teaching. The research aims to survey on the training of teachers who teach sociology in the public schools of Santa Maria and what their conceptions of sociology and teaching practice. The study has as motivation, the end of the period for the implantation of the discipline in the curriculum of all years of the Medium Teaching. The inquiry also meditates the form as the sociological knowledge is being transmitted for these students. As the teachers work this knowledge, as they accomplish the transition of the wise knowledge to the school knowledge. The form as the teachers notice the Sociology in the school, search to understand the reality of this discipline that represents as the most recent in the obligatory curriculum of the Medium Teaching, and for that it still lacks risings and questionings on who it is supplying and I eat the sociological knowledge is being passed to the students, given the complexity of the themes approached by the Sociology and his/her importance in the student's formation as active and reflexive citizen.
