Análise das oportunidades de estimulação motora presentes em ambiente domiciliar no sul do Brasil
Abstract
Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar as oportunidades de estimulação motora presentes em
ambiente domiciliar no sul do Brasil. Fizeram parte do estudo 410 famílias de crianças com
idades entre 18 e 42 meses, matriculadas em instituições de educação infantil. Para a análise
das oportunidades de estimulação motora presentes em ambiente domiciliar foi utilizado o
questionário Affordances in the Home Enviroment for Motor Development Self-Report –
(AHEMD-SR) (RODRIGUES, 2005), que avalia as características ambientais relacionadas à
criança, à família e ao ambiente familiar. Os resultados encontrados indicam que os estímulos
proporcionados pelos ambientes familiares às crianças, em grande parte das residências
avaliadas (34,4%), não estão sendo suficientes para a promoção do desenvolvimento motor
adequado e desejado para a fase de desenvolvimento. Os resultados menos satisfatórios foram
em relação à provisão de materiais que estimulem o desenvolvimento da motricidade infantil
no espaço externo das residências, o que influencia substancialmente nas oportunidades de
vivência e exploração dos movimentos. O estudo evidenciou ainda que as famílias com menor
renda mensal e cujos pais têm um menor grau de instrução possuem lares que promovem
menos oportunidades de estimulação motora às crianças. Os resultados encontrados revelam
uma situação preocupante, o que demonstra a necessidade da avaliação do ambiente familiar
para a detecção e aprimoramento dos fatores que promovem estímulos ao desenvolvimento
infantil.
