Dermatose induzida por tumor das células de Sertoly
Abstract
A dermatose causada por hormônio sexual é uma endocrinopatia
associada com a produção excessiva de hormônios sexuais ou seus
precursores, ou ambos, pelos testículos tumorais ou glândulas supra-renais. O
tumor de células de Sertoly é o tipo mais comum, e está associado ao
criptorquidismo intra-abdominal e inguinal. Os tumores testiculares ocorrem em
cães de idade média à avançada, com predisposição racial como Boxer, Pastor
de Shetland, Waimaranner, Pêquines e Collie. Os hormônios relacionados a
dermatose são os estrógenos, andrógenos e progesterona e, com a elevação
destes, ocorrem alterações dermatológicas como alopecia simétrica bilateral na
região perineal, genital, pescoço e tronco, ocorrendo também ginecomastia,
prepúcio pendular e prostatite. Para que ocorra remissão do quadro
dermatológico o cão deve ser submetido a procedimento cirúrgico para
retirada do testículo tumoral. Neste trabalho realizou-se uma revisão de
literatura e relato de caso de um canino da raça Boxer, macho, com 8 anos de
idade, apresentando alopecia bilateral simétrica no tronco, flancos, pescoço,
ginecomastia, prepúcio pendular e somente um testículo no escroto. Foram
realizados, então, os exames laboratoriais preconizados, e submetido a cirurgia
para retirada do testículo da cavidade abdominal e escrotal e encaminhado
para exame histopatológico onde constatou-se tumor de células de Sertoly.
