A importância das atividades de movimento no desenvolvimento infantil
Abstract
Este trabalho é resultado final do curso de Especialização em Ciência do
Movimento Humano, Sub – Área Pedagogia do Movimento Humano,
desenvolvido no Centro de Educação Física e Desportos – UFSM, visando
conhecer a importância das atividades do movimento no Desenvolvimento
Infantil. Na pesquisa foram verificadas se as atividades de movimento
realizadas por crianças de classes de Pré - Escola da Educação Infantil na
Rede Municipal de Ensino de Santa Maria, no ano de 2003, estão
contribuindo, ou não, para o seu desenvolvimento integral. Foram vídeo –
filmadas 16 situações de aula em oito diferentes escolas da rede municipal de
ensino, procurando conhecer as atividades de movimento realizadas na escola
pelas crianças, oportunizadas pelas professoras em suas rotinas na Pré –
Escola. As atividades encontradas foram categorizadas em atividades com
poucos movimentos, atividades de higiene e lanche, atividades manuais,
atividades amplas e livres. A realidade encontrada através da decodificação
das filmagens das aulas, foi confrontada com a literatura de Desenvolvimento
Humano, buscando sua contribuição no processo de Desenvolvimento Infantil.
Percebeu –se que algumas escolas não apresentaram práticas que
contemplassem todos aspectos do desenvolvimento integral da criança,
deixando de enfocar aspectos primordiais da totalidade, comprometendo desta
forma, a base do Desenvolvimento Infantil. Assim consideramos de suma
importância a necessidade de uma maior qualificação dos profissionais da
Educação Infantil, visando a tomada de consciência da responsabilidade que
estes possuem ao trabalhar com a criança nesta faixa etária que se encontra em
estágio peculiar de desenvolvimento, onde o descaso e a falta de
profissionalismo destes pode acarretar comprometimentos no seu processo de
desenvolvimento integral.
