A percepção da educação ambiental pelos acadêmicos do curso de Agronomia da UFSM

Abstract

In this work it tried to evaluate the perception of the academics' of the Degree course environmental education in Agronomy of Santa Maria's Federal University. A research was accomplished breaking of the inductive and descriptive methods. The research was been worth, in the practical part, of the resource of the data collection through questionnaires destined to the students of the course of Agronomy looking for to know the environmental reality in that the actors are involved and as they think the environmental education. The research followed a sequence leaving of the environmental education in the global scenery, involving subjects that treat of the globalization, of the environmental movements and maintainable development, being sent the environmental education in university level and being delimited to the study in the Course of Agronomy. An analysis was accomplished considering the answers of the academics to referring subjects their concerns and responsibilities with the environment while active professional futures in the society with base in a committed formation with the social and environmental subjects, working from way to contemplate on the crisis that affects the conditions of the beings' life involved in the process of growth of the society, looking for a balance between the man and the atmosphere. It is clear, therefore, the need to reinforce the importance of the execution of the social paper of the University in what refers to the concern with the fragmentation of the knowledge, to a more humanistic formation, to the indissociação of the teaching, he/she researches and extension that offers to the society, answers to their longings, especially regarding the environmental subjects.
