As mídias impressa e computador utilizadas no processo de inclusão de alunos deficientes visuais - estudo de caso da escola polo de Restinga Sêca - RS
Abstract
Este trabalho de pesquisa tem como objetivo principal observar como acontece a interação
entre alunos deficientes visuais e as mídias impressa e computador em uma escola
considerada como Polo para alunos com Deficiência Visual no município de Restinga Sêca.
A metodologia utilizada foi a etnográfica, do tipo estudo de caso que consta do relato da
Educadora Especial, de seu trabalho frente a esses alunos, e, também, observação do
material produzido na mídia impressa, como textos em Braille, histórias infantis, palavras,
frases elaboradas pelos alunos, e no computador pelos alunos com deficiência visual. No
município de Restinga Sêca a Educação Especial começou a ser pensada na década de 90,
mesmo período da Conferência de Joymtêm, pois anterior a esse período os alunos eram
atendidos na APAE (Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais). Desde então, os
alunos antes segregados e à margem da sociedade passaram a fazer parte do processo
educacional nas escolas em classes comuns de ensino. O município de Restinga Sêca já
está caminhando para a inclusão, oportunizando o acesso de alunos com Deficiência Visual.
A qualificação do profissional que está frente a esses alunos também é uma preocupação
tanto da escola quanto do município, buscando recursos humanos qualificados para atender
as peculiaridades de cada um, quando necessário. Após a realização desta pesquisa
percebe-se que a Escola Polo, onde os Deficientes Visuais estão inclusos, oferece uma
estrutura que ainda precisa de adaptações físicas e melhorias quanto aos recursos
utilizados pelos alunos, principalmente para séries finais.
